The CTRAA's Diamond Jubilee Party, 31 May 2012
On 31 May 2012, the CTRAA invited everyone in the area to a party in the vicarage’s courtyard in Vicarage Gate, to celebrate the Queen’s 60 years on the throne. In spite of threatening dark clouds, a rather autumnal wind and significantly lower temperature than during the sunny previous days, some 200 people turned up. They were treated to a hog roast, strawberries and cream, muffins, Pimm’s and wine, a live jazz band and a storyteller for the children.
The music is, of course, Andrew Lloyd Webber's and Gary Barlow's "Sing",
which was specially commissioned for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
